Welcome to my website! I’m delighted you dropped by.
I love digging through history and discovering its stories. I grew up hearing my immigrant grandparents talk about living in a Wyoming coal mining town in the early 1900’s, their first home in America. My first novel, Marcello’s Promise, was based on those treasured stories. A recent visit to Mahaffie Stagecoach Stop and Farm near my home in Olathe, KS, transported me to 1866 on the Santa Fe Trail, which inspired Lila’s Journey. Alone and afraid, Lila faces challenges with strength and courage she didn’t know she possessed. In telling these stories, I’ve come to realize the world was—and is—full of everyday people who possess extraordinary courage and determination, faith and love who are worthy of showing us the way forward. Check my blog for an assortment of topics: books worth reading, interesting and out-of-the-way places to visit, the history behind a holiday, a biography or a memoir—you’ll just have to come back to see what’s new. And leave me a message with your thoughts. Until then, I wish you good reading.
Praise for Lila’s Journey:
“Unexpected twists and turns make this story a must-read for any age.”
